Wealthy Affiliate for beginners has always been one of the best and most well known platforms for beginners to learn about affiliate marketing but over the last few months it has seen significant improvements that are designed to really support people in getting started in affiliate marketing.
If you have never heard of Wealthy Affiliate then you can check out my Full Wealthy Affiliate Review before reading the rest of this post but if you have looked at Wealthy Affiliate before then this post is just to outline the latest improvements that have happened since Dec 2023.
Historically, Wealthy Affiliate has been a go-to resource for anyone looking to start an online business, thanks to its in-depth starter process, the original starter process was a blueprint designed to guide you from idea to implementation with structured training, tools, and community support. With over 2.9 million members worldwide it has helped 1,000’s of people go from beginner to established online businesses.
Late in 2023 Wealthy Affiliate announced it was going to completely revamp the New Starter process and at the start of 2024 they rolled out some eagerly awaited updates that significantly improved the process of starting an online business. This wasn’t just about minor tweaks though as the platform underwent a complete transformation to offer an even more user-friendly experience perfectly suited to affiliate marketing beginners. With the online market place evolving at incredible speeds, it has become more important than ever to stay updated on what is new in the industry to prevent being left behind and the Wealthy Affiliate community has become the perfect place to stay up to speed
Continuous Improvements to the Platform
At the start of this year the major changes took place as Wealthy Affiliate introduced what they have called the “Hubs” Platform, this allows you to create a “Hub” for each business or website that you want to build. The Hub is a central location that includes your step by step guide, your full training program, your content database and website, this was a huge change and was really well received by both new starters and seasoned veterans. It brought everything into the one place so reduced my workload even further.
However, they weren’t finished there and since then they have been rolling out small improvements every month. This month they announced a two big improvements:
Technical Improvements
I am not very technical and had zero knowledge of websites or how to build them before I joined Wealthy Affiliate, if you are like me then you will want and need a partner that you can trust to look after your best interests and take care of the technical side of your business. Wealthy Affiliate are outstanding at this and have a dedicated Support center to help with any issues that you have. Last year I received an error on my website, I had no idea what it was or what it even meant so I opened a ticket with the support center and they resolved it within 45 mins for me. This really gives me peace of mind that my websites are looked after.
The latest improvements include a “Caching Update” and are designed to improve my websites speed and increase my site security. I had very little idea what else this caching did but I have learnt that it has been rolled out in response to increased bot activity on the internet by criminals looking to take control of your site. Without Wealthy Affiliate looking after my site I would definitely be lost.
New Starter Process
On top of the technical improvements they also updated the New Starter Process in Wealthy Affiliate to make it even easier for beginners to get started.
Wealthy Affiliate has essentially removed any feature that doesn’t contribute specifically to the New Starter process, this may seem like they are giving you less functionality but what it actually means is that when you sign up you are straight away on a much straighter, smoother road to getting your business off the ground. New starters are now guided to focus much more on what is important for getting your business started without being distracted by more advanced options that are really interesting but not really relevant until you get established. There are fewer initial options but clearer instructions and a much easier and clearer process.
They have also simplified the menus to make them easier to navigate and more intuitive which makes the whole platform seem less overwhelming when you are getting started. If you are serious about getting started but have a tendency to get distracted this will help keep you focused on the important tasks. But, It’s not just designed to get you there faster, it will also help you to work smarter and this will help you long term too by getting you into good habits at the start of your journey. By making the process more straightforward, you can focus on what really matters, which is building your businesses, connecting with audiences, and creating valuable content.
The next big improvement to the platform is planned to be a new upgraded affiliate program search function to help everyone find more opportunities to promote faster. I am really looking forward to this one

Yes, there are people that have found success quickly but for most people it takes several months to build a successful online business with Wealthy Affiliate, I generated my first affiliate payment after 3 months but it was only small.
There are three features that I have found most useful:
1) The training – this has been fantastic for me as I knew nothing about affiliate marketing and had to learn everything from scratch
2) The WordPress platform integration – I genuinely feel I would not have been able to get a website up and running without it and now I have two
3) The community – It sounds like a cliche but I have a really good group of people that i have learnt so much from, I know that if I have a question there are people that I can go to and they will help me. This has been huge for me.
The recent upgrades are really good but what I like the most is that Kyle and Carson are also quite happy to revert or adjust if they are not working, I find it really good to know that they are constantly trying to improve the site and not just taking the money so to speak.
